About DutyMate

DutyMate is a fast, sourced calculator for the real cost of buying property in Australia — transfer (stamp) duty in every state and territory, loan repayments, borrowing power and lenders mortgage insurance. Enter a price or a loan and see the exact figure, with the schedule it came from and the date it was checked.

The site is published by Inventum, an Australian company. Content is maintained under the byline DutyMate Editorial. We do not publish individual personas or invented credentials. Accountability rests on things you can check for yourself: a named publisher, a public methodology, dated and version-stamped datasets, and an open corrections inbox.

DutyMate is not a mortgage broker, financial adviser, conveyancer, or government service, and has no affiliation with any state revenue office or government body. It gives general information to help you understand a purchase, not personal advice.

Every duty figure is computed by our own code from a schedule transcribed from the relevant state revenue office, each stamped with its source and the date it was verified. The calculator and every page share one calculation engine, so the number on a page and the number in the tool cannot disagree.
